Mash for optimum rehydration and re-covery after performance Saracen Re-Covery Mash is highly palatable, versatile and convenient to use in many different situations. It contains a blend of ’Super-Fibres’, known for their superior digestibility and provision of non-heating calories, plus a source of electrolytes to aid re-hydration. The Super-Fibres’ help to ’top up’ the performance horse’s fibre and water intake and together with electrolytes helps to maintain optimum hydration and thirst response, during periods of travel, warm weather, sweating, intensive training and exertion. Saracen Re-Covery Mash will take 5-10 minutes to soak in warm water and should be fed immediately. The amount of water added will depend pon the individual horse and the reason for feeding the mash. Suitable for:

    • Horses & ponies post competition performance to support optimum recovery
    • Horse & ponies following intensive training sessions
    • Horses & ponies that are sick or convalescing
    • Horses & ponies that require a high fibre, low starch mash
    • Horse & ponies in need of increasing thirst response

To replenish electrolytes in the body, sport horses may be given up to 3 kilograms of Re-Covery Mash per day. Always consult a nutritionist who can help you determine exactly how much extra electrolytes your horse needs.

This product should be soaked according to a 1 to 2 ratio. Add two parts water for every part Re-Covery Mash. Would you like the slurry to be more liquid? Then add a little more water. But be sure to use no less than 1 litre of water for every 500 grams of Re-Covery Mash.
